MORRISTOWN - Republican and Conservative candidate for U.S. Senate Joe Pinion will speak at the Sunday, June 5th Conservative Barbecue and Dance at the Morristown Pavilion behind the Fire Department.

The afternoon will kick off from 1 to 5 p.m.

Admission is $35 per couple and $20 per single.

Pinion, an entrepreneur and political news commentator, is challenging Democratic Senate Majority Leader Charles Schumer in November.

If he’s elected, Pinion would be the first African American Republican to represent New York State in the U.S. Senate in Washington, D.C.

“Chuck Schumer has failed to deliver for Northern New York,” says St. Lawrence County Conservative Party Chair Hank Ford.

“It’s time we elected a real Conservative who will bring common sense to Washington.”

“Today, Joe is running for U.S. Senate because our state and our country are in trouble,” according to a campaign spokesman.

“For too long, career politicians like Chuck Schumer have failed the 99%, choosing instead to serve their political cronies and special interests. In Chuck Schumer’s rise to power and fame as leader of the Senate, he left the people of New York State behind by choosing to serve as a loyal leader of the extreme radicals in Washington rather than side with us."

Pinion has a wealth of experience in the private sector and non-profit space with nearly two decades of expertise in healthcare, media, and renewable energy.

“As director of youth development at the Morris Height Health Center located in the nation’s poorest congressional district in the Bronx, Joe helped integrate health services with community engagement to spearhead a bridge grant program designed to provide gap funding for children within the community to improve college accessibility.

Speakers will also include endorsed Conservative and GOP Assembly candidate Susan Duffy, Senate candidate Mark Walczyk and Assembly member Ken Blankenbush. "We will be announcing others very soon," said Ford.
