Patronize Potsdam Village Diner, says Norwood couple

The Village Diner (VD) has been a cornerstone of the Village of Potsdam for decades, and yet it is so easily taken for granted. We shouldn’t make that mistake. The VD has been providing residents of Potsdam and the surrounding community service that transcends just a good breakfast or lunch.

They support us with sustenance both physically and mentally. In major events like the Covid 19 challenge the VD came through to support the community. They called individuals to make sure they were safe and being taken care of. They tried to stay open as much as possible during the pandemic knowing that they were, in many cases, the only help available to the elderly and or infirm.

They have gone and continue to go the extra mile for this community in spite of the financial hit the pandemic has brought to the community and its businesses. Patty and I appreciate Denise, Jerrod, Noah, Owen, Sue, Kate, Randy, Brenda, Butch, Harold and the entire team at the VD. Many times we appreciate a business but don't really know how to adequately express that appreciation. In the case of the VD it’s easy.

Go have breakfast or lunch on a regular basis. Indulge yourself with one of Brenda’s pies. They are so good it may bring tears of joy to your eyes.

The VD has taken care of all of us for years, so it would be nice if we returned in kind and had a great meal at the same time.
