To the Editor:
The Norwood Norfolk Snack Pack Program would like to thank Stewart’s Holiday Match Program for their very generous donation of $900 in support of our program. The NN Snack Pack Program has operated solely on donations and grants since its inception in 2012. We have no overhead costs, and all donations go directly toward the snack packs for the children. The Snack Pack Program is supported by approximately 21 volunteers, who generously give of their time in many ways. The NN Snack Pack Program currently serves over 225 students each week in grades pre-k through high school, including Head Start.
Stewart’s Holiday Match has allocated more than $38 million over the course of administering this program. This year, Stewart’s Holiday Match received just over $2 million to donate, and received more than 1,800 applications. To learn more about the Stewart’s Holiday Match Program please visit their website (www. Stewartsshops.com/community-giving).
With rising costs everywhere, we are grateful for Stewart’s Holiday Match donation, which will help us sustain this program and serve all children in need of the Snack Pack Program.
