Potsdam Fire Department has a new rescue vehicle to serve the community..The department received a new Rescue 14,  a 2023 Rosenbauer Commander, delivered by Garrison Fire & Rescue Corp on Monday, Jan. 29. .“This truck was constructed with an EXT extruded aluminum body,” By Potsdam Fire Driver Mark Maroney said in a statement on their website..He said the vehicle features a Harrison 15Kw generator, a Command Light CL Series LED light tower, a Bauer SCBA air fill system, and Hurst Edraulic tools. .“This apparatus replaced the old 1994 Rescue 14 which served our department well for many years,” he said. “Members were eager for the delivery and began to train shortly after its delivery so it could be placed into service.”.The new Rescue 14 serves the department as a heavy rescue. .“Potsdam Fire thanks Rosenbauer and Garrison for all their hard work to make this a smooth purchase,” Maroney said.
