To the Editor:

Once again the Amvets Post 282 is sponsoring the Memorial Day Parade in Potsdam on Monday, May 27, 2024. Last year's participation for the parade was very encouraging and illustrated how the people appreciate honor and remember those who have lost their lives during our countries’ wars.

This year we are asking any organization that has not already committed to being in the parade or wishes to enter a decorated vehicle or float to contact our parade coordinator Stanley F. Crump at 315-389-4941. We only ask that anyone who wants to be in the parade to remember what Memorial Day is about. Please put aside any agenda and protest and honor those who died so that we may exercise the rights that allow us to have those thoughts in their time.

So far we propose to mee3t at the high school to form up at 9 a.m. and proceed to Market Street then on to Ives Park. Upon arrival at Ives Park, ceremonies will commence as soon as everyone arrives.
