Margaret E. Michaud, 91, Massena

MASSENA — Margaret E. Michaud, age 91, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on May 23, 2022 at Massena Hospital.

Arrangements are under the care of and direction of the Phillips Memorial Home located at 64 Andrews St. Massena.

Friends and family may be received on Wednesday, June 1, 2022 from 10:00 A.M. until the service at 12:00 P.M. at the Phillips Memorial Home.

Burial will be held immediately following the funeral services in St. John Bosco Cemetery in Malone, NY.

Born to the late Edward and Vila (Bessey) Bouvier in Ellenburg Center, NY on April 16, 1931.

She married Danforth Charles LaValley, the marriage later ended in divorce.

She later married John M. Michaud on June 5, 1971 and he predeceased her in 1992.

Margaret was employed at Alice Hide Hospital, Highland Nursing Home, as St. Regis Nursing Home as a Nurse’s Aide for over 40 Years.

Later she was a sales clerk working for Chappell’s Department Store in St. Lawrence Centre.

Margaret has been a member of the VFW Auxiliary since 1971 and past president twice.

Margaret is survived by her children; Sandra Danforth of Three Rivers, MA; Charles E. LaValley of Watertown, NY; David J. and Donna LaValley of Massena, NY; Danford LaValley of Massena, NY: Robert LaValley of Massena, NY: George LaValley of South Bridge, MA:, Angel Lord of Clearwater, FL; Melody LaCombe and Clifford of Massena, NY: also survived by John Michaud III of Massena, NY: and step-children, Sandy Issacs and Veron of Ohio.

Her siblings: George Bouvier and Janice of Carthage, NY: and Louie Boyria and Sally of Malone, NY, along with 25 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, numerous great-greatgrandchildren, along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins and also her Goddaughter Margaret and Ann Boudoin of Norfolk, NY.

She was predeceased by sisters, Viola Crump and Cleviola Trombley, and three brothers, Donald, John and William Bouvia, along with two daughters Alice Page and Marion Hitsman.
