NORTH LAWRENCE -- With heavy hearts the family of Kenneth “Gene” Jandreau Announce his passing on Thursday (April 11, 2024).
A time of visitation will be held Wednesday (April 17th) from 4-7 p.m. at the Flint Funeral Home, Moira.
Words of prayer and remembrance will be shared by his son, Scott at 7 p.m.
Kenneth was born in Yaleville on March 29, 1940, the son to the late Frank & Pauline (Fredenburg) Jandreau.
No matter the weather Ken would walk up the hill to the one room schoolhouse in Knapp Station where he was educated.
On July 25, 1962, Ken united into marriage with Gladys White at the Brookdale Wesleyan Methodist Church. She predeceased him on April 17, 2015.
Ken was a faith filled gentleman, who loved singing gospel music. Many will never forget his genuine love and soft voice as he sang “On the Wings of a Dove”.
Treasured memories will be forever in the hearts of his children, Frances Lillian Jandreau of Massena, Gene (Melody) Jandreau of North Lawrence, and Scott (Debbie) Jandreau of North Lawrence. He is also survived by four grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
His siblings, Alexander (Shirley) Jandreau, Vernon (Frances) Jandreau and Pauline White, all of Knapp Station, along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins survive him.
Besides his parents and wife, he is predeceased by eight siblings, Harley, Lloyd, Ivan, Eleanor, Inez, Carry, Winnie, and Irene.
