Edna J. Perrault, 89, Ogdensburg

OGDENSBURG -- A funeral service for Edna J. Perrault will be held Monday May 13, 2024, at 10:30AM at St. John’s Episcopal Church in Ogdensburg, NY with the very Reverend Sonya Boyce officiating.

Edna passed peacefully Sunday evening May 5, 2024, at Claxton Hepburn Medical Center in Ogdensburg, NY with her loving family by her side.

Visitation will be held prior to the service from 9:30AM until the start.

Arrangements are under the care and direction of Fox & Murray Funeral Home.


Edna was born June 29, 1934, in Ogdensburg to the late Clarence and Mary (Johnson) Berry.

On June 29, 1952, Edna graduated from Ogdensburg Free Academy. The following day, June 30, 1952, she married the love of her life, Joseph Perrault. He predeceased her on November 16, 1969 at the age of 35.

Along with raising her family, Edna worked as a Therapy Aid for the St. Lawrence Psychiatric Center for 20 years, before retiring in 1995. She continued work in the OFA Cafeteria until 1999.

Mrs. Perrault was a member of The Daughters of the King at St. John’s Episcopal Church, Alter Guild at St. John’s, and the Church Choir.

She enjoyed reading, knitting, crafts, and spending time with her family.

Mrs. Perrault is survived by her sons, Allan and his wife, Barbara Perrault of Massachusetts and Brian “David” Perrault of Connecticut; her daughters, Janice Casey of Dayville, CT, Jeannette Perrault of Ogdensburg, and Jennifer Davison of Ogdensburg; a brother, Charles Berry of South Carolina; a sister, Martha Read of Prescott, ON; seven grandchildren, Robin, Julie, Amber Perrault all of MA, Kelly Oosterman of CT, Kasie Cantellon of MA, Corey and Christopher Davison of Ogdensburg; four great grandchildren, Harper, Emma, Madison, and Aurora.

She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph Perrault; her parents, Clarence and Mary Berry; a son, Joseph Perrault Jr. in infancy; and her siblings, Clarence Berry and Helen Reid.
