Carl I. Terrance, 61, Akwesasne

AKWESASNE – Carl I. Terrance, 61, a resident of Roosevelt Road, unexpectedly passed away March 30, 2024 at his home.

Carl was born in Rochester on July 2, 1962, the son of the late Raymond and Joyce (Johnson) Terrance.

He was a graduate of Salmon River Central School and proudly served his country in the US Army, having served in Granada.

Carl enjoyed maintaining his lawn, painting, construction, and doing mechanical work. He also greatly enjoyed hosting his family for his sister, Dianne’s birthday.

Carl is survived by his sisters, Rose (Jerry) Oakes, Jackie (Wayne) Papineau, Dianne Terrance; his brothers, Keith Terrance, Truman (Debbie) Terrance, Dan (Estel) Terrance, Dale (Laurel) Janson, and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a sister, Christine Robin in infancy, a brother, Bernie Terrance in infancy, and two nephews, Junior Oakes and Jacob Stehlin.

A service celebrating his life will be held at 1:00 PM on April 20, 2024 at New Life Christian Church, Hogansburg.

Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery, Holley, New York.
