In response to “Tailgaters,” (July 23-29): you drive the speed limit, that’s great! I usually do not. I once had a state trooper say to me if you keep your speed under 65, you won't be stopped. With that being said, I still get tailgaters! I cannot count the times I’ve been tailgated doing 64. I was taught in driver’s education to not pay attention to what is behind me. It is kind of hard when you have a big truck on your bumper! Then they finally pass you with an on coming car in sight. And you know what…when we all get in to whatever town we're headed to, I'm pulling right up behind that car at the first red light! A lot of good it did to risk everyone’s lives by passing when we both got to a point the very same time.
