As a decades-old teacher, I can’t seem to wrap my mind around the rationale parents have these days. You would be surprised how many of them think its okay to schedule vacations outside of the school calendar, and then have the audacity to complain when a teacher gives their child poor grades for work they missed. Not only are you short changing your child’s education. You are setting a poor example. Not really much different than calling in sick when you just don’t want to work. No wonder we are in the mess were in. People’s values and work ethics are going down the toilet.
