Just wanted to let anyone who is traveling within or around Canton that the traffic light on Riverside Drive is only supporting one lane! It does not matter if you are turning left, right or going straight – there is only one lane. NYS Department of Transportation has not changed the light to stop the green arrow, so if you are going straight or turning left the green (right) arrow does not permit you to proceed. Many travelers are getting upset and laying on their horns for you to go when in fact you cannot. Not everyone is turning right, so be patient! PS – this also happens even if the “Left Turn Only” lane is open.
