I also believe that cell phone use and texting has made our public highways much more dangerous (“Stay Off Cell Phones,” Sound Off, Feb. 29-March 6). Every intersection I observe has over half of the drivers talking on phones. We need to raise revenue from this lucrative source. Why don’t we hear of tickets issued to people being fined for cell phone use that leads to accidents. The first thing I will insist on if I’m involved in an accident is to have the police take the cell phones and issue tickets and liability on the cell phone user. Please stop your phone while driving your car.
