In response to “Dangerous Downtown,” which appeared in the July 13-19 issue of North Country This Week: well, how about on Route 56 and Route 310 and how closely everyone drives by tailgating you? I drive the speed limit and every time I do I have a lot of tailgaters that are behind me. And I tap on the brakes to try to get them to stop tailgating and that doesn't help. They just keep on doing it. It is getting so bad that it is makes me upset. I don't know why they keep on doing it. What is their hurry? They will get to where they are going in the same amount of time without being on someone's tail! When they pass me, they almost take the front of my car off. Do you think our roads are a race track? Where are the police? This is happening at the peak hours of when everyone is getting off work.
