In response to “Start-Up NY Fails to Create Jobs Locally,“ (Aug. 17-23): just as I predicted, this was doomed from the start and remains so today. Waiting for 2020 won't make much difference in anything for the very reasons stated in the article. It's too much hoop-jumping and too many inconveniences for a business to mess with and it becomes very clear as soon as you actually look into the possibilities. Even with the vaguely mentioned tax help, leaving the general population to pay those taxes, aren't going to help. It might be a great place for some flim-flam artists over the next 4 years. Common sense will prevail and this will not take off in this writer's opinion.
