Before we rush off to write our legislator on the school fiscal crisis we should find out what the source of the problem is. If a big portion of the present and future expense is projected union raises and increased pension money perhaps we should reconsider our allocations. We may not be facing a reduction in education, we just may have greater union demands. If this is the case we shouldn’t lobby the legislature on behalf of the unions, we should pressure our administrators to use our tax money more wisely.
