In regards to “Students Unaware of Area” in North Country This Week (Aug. 1 – Aug. 7), so, the college should now take responsibility for continuing the spoon-feeding of these young adults that are supposedly mature enough to begin their higher education. They need to grow up at some point and take a bit of responsibility for their life. I have yet to see a North Country kid over the age of 10 that doesn’t have the wherewithal to google whatever information they might need; including a map with directions from point A to point B. If these potential college students are as far behind the curve as indicated they best go back for some basic education at the primary/secondary level.
