Maybe the reason people cut through the parking lot to avoid the light at the May and Market intersection (“Parking Lot Not A Road,” May 2-8), is because they remember and are haunted by that horrible Saturday morning when an amazing woman’s life was “effectively ended” as she stopped at that light and a drunk driver hit her head on.
