A poster of a youngster and his model, which he spent hours making to scale to depict the size of an industrial wind turbine in comparison to a typical farmstead, was placed in Lamphere's store in Hopkinton March 9. It was removed at some point over the weekend, so another was put up in its place. Now this poster has also been removed by an individual who came into the store. This young man has no voice in the decisions the town board is making concerning his future. He will have to live in the shadows of the towers, if they come, or he will have to leave the area. So this child expressed his concerns in a way that allowed others to see the stark reality of the magnitude of these wind towers in our rural community. The word bullying has been tossed around for many months. Who feels so threatened by a poster of a child holding the scale model of a wind turbine, that he/she feels they have the right to rip it down? I would say you're the bullies and shame on you.
