In response to “Use of Police Vehicles” which ran in the Jan. 13-19 issue of North Country This Week: I believe that oversight of behavior of our government representatives and law enforcers, local, state, and federal, is one of our many responsibilities as a resident and taxpayer. Especially when unethical or illegal behavior is observed, we all need to have the courage and fortitude to bring accountability to our community persons. To be silent is to be complacent, and part of the problem and not part of the solution! Let’s keep our standards, ethics and morals high instead of lowering or discarding with how the wind may blow. Or who may be our leaders. Thank you resident for bringing this to our attention! Is there a policy for use of vehicles with unofficial police business? Who will address and resolve this matter now?
