In response to “Entitled Eaters” which appeared in the April 9-15 issue of North Country This Week: no one feels like they are entitled eaters! We have a wonderful food stamp program for those who need to feed their families, and that is great! I myself get a little annoyed when I see my tax dollars paying for chips and soda and ice cream instead of good healthy food. I really doubt anyone who pays taxes would have a problem with helping those who need it buy good healthy food. Chips and soda is not food, it’s crap and has no health benefit! That’s common sense. And that’s what gets some people upset.
