I keep reading comments about how all of Northern New York should be protecting Fort Drum’s airspace. I don’t believe Fort Drum owns or has the rights to all the airspace above Northern New York. If they want to restrict development, and keep people from using their large expanses of rural land as they see fit — shouldn’t they be paying for it? Like a conservation easement.
