The weekend of Nov. 20-21 has put me in a Thanksgiving frame of mind. On Thursday night we heard a fine concert by the Crane Symphonic Band. On Saturday evening we saw a powerful Grasse River Players-Clarkson Dramatic Club production of “Doubt.” It was a departure for GRP: a serious and challenging play. The acting was superb and it left us thinking. The next day in the afternoon the Potsdam Community Chorus and SUNY Potsdam Men’s Ensemble blew us away with a splendid performance of English cathedral music. Both the Crane events were free. I feel so lucky and thankful to live in Potsdam. All these riches available and we don’t even have to get on a subway or hail a cab. One of the best choices we ever made was to come here in 1968.
