I have lived in Potsdam most of my life and I feel Potsdam is racist. When Nick Hillary was accused of Garrett Phillips’ murder, I felt, “poor guy, he’s colored!” All you hear now is, “Hillary did it. He got away with murder.” I am not a lawyer nor do I pretend to be, but I do have common sense. I feel they looked no further than Hillary. They never checked on any other boyfriends or put anyone through what they put Hillary through. Would you call this prejudice? I would. Now, let’s take a look at the District Attorney, Mary Rain. I feel the guilty one is still free and this is because five years was wasted trying to convict Hillary. Justice for Garrett was not accomplished.
