I don’t understand how DA Mary Rain is allowed to continue being an attorney. We do not find justice by lying, cheating, corruption, or hiding evidence. What we get is a lack of faith in a system that we must be able to trust in order to believe that the courts truly dispense justice. For trust to be restored, Rain and Fitzpatrick must immediately be removed as attorneys. To do otherwise would just bolster support for the notion that DA’s can do whatever they want and call it justice. The end does not justify the means, regardless of what their belief is. DA’s must be held to a higher standard since they act in the name of the public and want their trust. Waiting for an election is not a remedy, it is a cop out. Other employees get suspended awaiting hearings. What makes them so special? I urge everyone to write to the judicial committee spearheading the investigation and urge them to act quickly on the massive volume of evidence against Mary Rain and remove her from office immediately. We need justice for everyone, and we need it now.
