There have been several people charged with possession of illegal drugs while they were inmates at local jails. I see only two explanations. No. 1 -- visitors to the jail are passing things to inmates. Aren’t these people checked or supervised during visits. No. 2 – that someone working inside is supplying the inmates. Don’t shrug off this explanation, it does happen! Officials at the jail need to be responsible and transparent as to why this is going on. Are these items getting in via mail? We hear of the possession charges but never “who, what, where, why or how” the drugs got into jail. We need answers from county jail officials.
