Honk for lower prices

I visited Heuvelton June 8 and the gas price there is lower than any major community in St. Lawrence County. I believe that the gas stations intentionally raise prices when they know a holiday weekend is coming or/and if there are going to be “out-of- towners” coming in. Like this past weekend (Dairy Princess and St. Lawrence University gatherings). I saw one station below $4 on Thursday or Friday and then it was gone. That is just wrong. I drive to Ogdensburg, and now maybe to Heuvelton, at least once every two weeks to get filled up just because I hate being taken advantage of. It used to be that there was a “pricing war” between the Route 11 stations in Canton but now it seems they have joined forces and are have a “gouging fest”. Let’s stir the pot. Honk your horn as you pass the gas stations in Canton or Potsdam or wherever, signaling you are not buying your gas because of high pricing.
