Governor Andrew Cuomo has demonstrated over and over again that he is for sale to the highest bidder - gay marriage, the casino controversy and the decriminalization of marijuana possession being the most obvious cases. Not really for/against any of these things strongly, just the idea that Cuomo is for sale. Scozzafava’s “message” that the state is unlikely to force school district mergers makes it likely that that is exactly what is going on. The taxpayers are going to suffer dearly until they fall into line on this. It was stated that there is a bill introduced in the state Senate opening the door for BOCES to run these regional schools that would be created. If BOCES, an extremely top heavy behemoth, takes over the schools, hang on to your wallet.
