I often cringe at the Clarkson University men’s hockey games when the pep band and student section antagonize the opposing team players and fans. However, I would gladly listen to that any day over the foul mouthed young man that was sitting behind me at a recent game. I could not believe my ears at what appeared to be an 11- or 12-year-old yelling obscenities at the referees. What made this situation worse was that several younger children were nearby and an adult man (possibly the boy’s father?) was sitting right next to him and never said a word. I would rather my kids hear “Santa’s not real” as opposed to the filth coming out of that boy’s mouth.
