North Country schools are trying to secure funding for their own armed resource officer. If the local police departments, sheriff’s office, and state police all already on duty, why can't they be sent to the districts for their day shift as opposed to their cruisers? It seems like taxpayers would be paying the officers twice for the same job. Confused on why we can't use what is already in place.
