In response to “Monitors Should Be Cut” (June 8-14): Have you noticed that teachers, in large part, do not respond to all of these teacher-bashing Sound-Offs? Perhaps it’s because teachers have thicker skin, or because “it’s easier to catch flies with honey.” I’m growing tired of listening to people who apparently have nothing better to do than to complain about teachers … how they make too much, how they don’t take a pay cut, how they work 10 months out of year, and on and on and on. How about taking all of that effort you are putting into complaining about others and do something more profound? Like study with your child, read a book to your child, participate in community events with your child. If you don’t like what you perceive teachers do, get over it! You chose your job, teachers chose theirs. Find something else to complain about. I hear the Yankees are on a losing streak.
