Once again, Mary Rain has failed the people of this county. Once again a child rapist goes free because Rain was too busy to assure that this person was brought to trial in a timely manner. I’d like to see Mary get down on her knees and explain away this one to the little girls and their parents. How this woman sleeps at night is beyond me. New York state is failing this county by not addressing the issue of an incompetent and unprofessional DA. She consistently blames others for her failures. I don’t care whose desk this case was on, ultimately the buck stops on Rain’s desk. If Rain had any ethics at all, she’d resign immediately and pack up her stuff and get out of this county.
