I’m truly concerned about the rezoning and hope we have a good turn out at the Canton Town Board meeting this Monday.
I believe the Planning Board worked hard accomplishing their given task, but there was such poor communication by our representatives that we were taken by surprise. The quote “No offense to anyone in agriculture, but not everyone wants to live next to agriculture,” is interesting.
Did anyone consider those in agriculture do not want to live in a residential area? Maybe one should consider where they want to live rather than change the neighborhood they want to live in.
I also believe the “We didn’t cave” is a poor thing to say. When I read the Planning Board will not recommend the changes, but one of the members still thinks “we should still go forward” and “it’s really for the town board” my response is you are talking out of both sides of your mouth and just passing the buck.
