The recent Letter to the Editor "Moral issues should guide voting, Potsdam resident says" sounds exactly why the constitution was written as a document that separates church and state. I remember when no one thought John Kennedy could be elected because he was a Roman Catholic. Now don't get me wrong he was a great president. But now I think we have gone to far in that direction and the supreme court should rule that there must be a separation of church and state or we could end up like the radical Muslim religion down the road.
