I thoroughly enjoy Paul Hetzler’s articles and look forward to them. I especially enjoyed the latest on dandelions as it brought back memories of my childhood when a neighbor always asked permission to pick our dandelion greens and flowers in the spring. She made dandelion wine and cooked the greens. My father thought she was crazy but from her I began to learn about all the great things around us that are edible. Marsh marigolds will come soon and violet greens and then morels and the wild leeks. Later, the best of all; wild strawberries, blackberries, raspberries, wild blueberries and gone wild apples and (my personal favorite) wild plums. I still have a few jars of wild plum jam from last year but you can’t have any!
