As a resident of Hopkinton, I’m increasingly concerned about the proposed wind farm that has been secretly in the works for several years and that has just come to light. What’s interesting to note is that of the 60 properties with signed leases, 30 of those are with Norco Farms. If you think that it’s regular folks who are going to benefit from this project, think again. It’s the regular folks who are going to lose 20 percent of their property values overnight and a few of the big landowners who are going to retire to Florida with the big lease payments from the big multi-national. Everyone else only stands to lose in this bargain.
