In response to “Stefanik Deserves Credit for Trump Visit” which appeared in the Aug. 29-Sept. 4 issue of North Country This Week: You think Stefanik deserves credit for bringing Trump and Pence to Watertown? Then I guess she should have told Trump how to pronounce her last name. I guess she must also take credit for Trump not mentioning Sen. John McCain in relation to the defense appropriation bill. Trump thanked many people, but consciously left out a P.O.W., a dedicated U.S. senator, a highly decorated war hero, and chairman of the Senate Armed Services. McCain’s name was put on this bill by his colleagues in Congress to honor him. Stefanik needs to take the bad with the good. This one foes into the debt column and she owns it.
