Funeral services for Lawrence Marlow, age 69, of Linden St., will be held on Monday, August 30, 2010 at Notre Dame Church at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. F. James Shurtleff officiating. Mr. Marlow passed away on August 24, 2010 at his home.
Mr. Marlow is survived by his wife, Claire; two sons, Douglas of Ogdensburg and Stephen and his wife Elizabeth of Richville; three daughters, Susan Bouchey and her husband Thomas of Ogdensburg, Tammy Carr and her husband Richard of Lisbon and Robin Hayes and her husband Daniel of Orlando, FL; and seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
He was predeceased by one daughter, Lawrelle Marlow on September 9, 1987; and one brother, Paul in 1988.
Mr. Marlow was born on August 29, 1940 in Ogdensburg, the son of Aldama and Mary Ella (Watson) Marlow. He graduated from St. Mary’s Academy in 1958. He married Claire Bouchard on April 11, 1964 at Notre Dame Church with Rev. LaValley officiating. He first worked for the family business, Al Marlow & Sons Poultry and Truck Farming. He retired in 2000 due to disability and during this time he sold Miracle Ear and ran Marlow’s Bus Corp. from 1977 to 1984.
Mr. Marlow was a past member of the Knights of Columbus and the Oddfellows. Mr. Marlow enjoyed bowling, Seaway Slow Pitch and going to the casino.
