Patsy L. Ford, 76, Harrisville

HARRISIVILLE -- Memorial services for Patsy L. Ford, age 76, will be held on Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at 12:00PM at the Harrisville First United Methodist Church with Rev. Tracy Kirkland and Rev. Fran Hemstreet officiating. A luncheon for everyone at the Church will follow immediately after the service. The family will be receiving friends and acquaintances from 11:00AM until the time of the service. Patsy passed away Friday morning, February 16, 2018 surrounded by her loving family.

Patsy is survived by her husband, Robert W. Ford; her children, Debbie McCuin and her husband Robert, of Winthrop, NY; Dale Ford and his wife Denise, of St. Albans, VT; Robert D. Ford and his wife Mary, of Sherman, TX; and Shelly Ford, of Taunton, MA; her brother, Garth Lapar and his wife Judy, of Sun City Center, FL; her sister, Joyce Wood and her husband Lynn, of Black Lake, NY; ten grandchildren, Ryan, Connor, and Molly McCuin; Ethan and Jack Ford; Elora Ford; and Kenny Curran; several great-granchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents and brother, Larry Laparr.

Patsy was born on August 22, 1941 in Gouverneur, NY, the daughter of George and Marion Cole Laparr. She graduated from Harrisville Central School in 1958 and went on to attend Jefferson Community College in Watertown, NY. She married Robert W. Ford on November 20, 1959 at the Harrisville First United Methodist Church in Harrisville, NY. She enjoyed being outdoors, snowshoeing, fishing, knitting, wood handcrafting, baking homemade bread, gardening and canning, and berry picking. She also belonged to the Harrisville Senior Citizens and the Adirondack Grange in Harrisville, NY.

The family asks that all flowers be sent to the Harrisville First United Methodist Church, 14294 Maple St., Harrisville, NY 13648.
