STAR LAKE -- Funeral services and Mass of Christian Burial for Patricia M. Sullivan, 86, a resident of Star Lake, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, January 17, 2018, at St. Hubert’s Catholic Church, Oswegatchie Trail, Star Lake.
Burial will be at St. Hubert’s Catholic Cemetery in the Spring.
The family will greet friends from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday at French Family Funeral Home, 4159 State Highway 3, Star Lake.
Mrs. Sullivan passed away Sunday, January 14, 2018, at St. Joseph’s Nursing Home in Ogdensburg.
Patricia M. Sullivan was born March 17, 1931, in Niagara Falls.
She was the daughter of Percy and Maeford (Vorce) Delosh.
She was united in marriage to J. Bruce Sullivan on December 27, 1948. He preceded her in death May 4, 1995.
A consummate mother and homemaker, “Grandma Pat” was an excellent cook and enjoyed preparing meals for her family and friends. She was most famous for her home-made donuts, bread, and spaghetti.
Many a year would find her children, and then her grandchildren, over to her house to grab a quick snack after school. This brought her great joy, as did making fudge, cookies, baked beans, and assorted goodies at Christmas time.
Pat had an unwavering faith in God. She was a member of St. Hubert’s Church, and in later years, participated in Sunday morning Mass in the privacy of her own home.
In earlier years, she was very involved in the Mervin Eno American Legion, Post 1539, Benson Mines. She was President of that Auxiliary from 1995 until 1999.
She was predeceased by her parents, Percy and Maeford Delosh; a brother, William Delosh; a sister, Jean Kelly; a brother, Gerald (Ton) Delosh, a sister, Eileen (George) Andrikut, a great-granddaughter and a great-grandson.
Pat is survived by seven children, daughter, Nancy (Harold, Jr.) Pickering, Star Lake; son, Bruce J. Sullivan, Canton; daughters, Sandra Sullivan, Flat Rock, NC, Mary Lynn (Scot) Fraser, Star Lake, Patricia (Richard) Lake, Morristown; son, Donald J. (Judy) Sullivan, Star Lake, daughter Shirley Sullivan (Donald Wayering), Oswegatchie; two brothers, Robert (Linda) Delosh, TN, and Percy Frederick (Ruth) Delosh, Massena. She is also survived by 23 grandchildren, and many great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
