WINTHROP -- Janice Marie (Tower) Kelsey, 84, of Pickle Street, passed away Saturday morning, January 27, 2018, at Massena Memorial Hospital surrounded by her family.
Arrangements are entrusted to the Hammill Funeral Home in Winthrop.
Janice was born at home in Parishville on May 14, 1933, to the late Deforest W. and Denora (LaShomb) Tower.
She was a 1952 graduate of Potsdam Central School and worked in Massena until her marriage to Lowell E. Kelsey at the Hammond Presbyterian Church on July 27, 1953.
Janice is survived by two sons, Michael and wife, Kelly and their children, Sean and Lauren of Poughkeepsie, and Wayne and his sons, Samuel and Ryan of Winston-Salem, North Carolina; her brother, Jack Tower and his wife, Lou; their children, Kimberly and Timothy; her very close friend, Gloria Gardner; and a sister-in-law, Gail Kelsey.
Janice was predeceased by her husband of 57 years, Lowell on January 8, 2011; son, Scott on October 16, 1983; and an infant son in 1954.
Janice was an active member of the Stockholm Historical Association and enjoyed attending many local activities.

A Celebration of Life luncheon in Janice’s honor will be held later.
