OGDENSBURG -- James A. Angelo, 58, 10 Spruce Street, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 2, at his home surrounded by his three sisters, and the staff of United Helpers Spruce Street and Hospice and Palliative Care of St. Lawrence Valley.
James was born in Brooklyn, NY on January 24, 1959. He lived with his mother in Brooklyn until 1984 when they moved to Waddington to be near family.
James is survived by his sisters and their husbands, Grace and Robert Sullivan of Waddington, Charlotte and Alan Ward of Waddington and Vivian and Terry Tiernan of Madrid; and eight nephews and nieces: Gregory, Jerome, Jeffrey and Jason Montelione, Kelly Ann and Paul Ward, Meghan Tiernan Fisher and Kathleen Tiernan.
He was predeceased by his brother, Nicholas in 1954; his mother, Grace in 1986; and his father, Nicholas, in 2005.
James enjoyed being with family and friends, socializing, and entertaining with his sense of humor. Many of his witty expressions, now known as “Jamesisms,” continue to inform and delight those who knew him well. James was an avid Yankees fan, played basketball when he was young, and enjoyed listening to country music, fishing, and wrestling.
