OGDENSBURG -- Funeral services for H. Theresa Ladouceur, age 87, will be held on Monday, March 12, 2018, at 10:00 a.m. at Notre Dame Church with Rev. F. James Shurtleff officiating. There will be no public calling hours. Interment will be at Foxwood Memorial Park. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Frary Funeral Home, Ogdensburg. Mrs. Ladouceur passed away Saturday, March 3, 2018, at RiverLedge Health Care & Rehabilitation Center, surrounded by her loving family.
Mrs. Ladouceur is survived by one daughter, Kathleen Farmer and her husband, Russell, of Norwood; four sons, Richard Ladouceur and his wife, Anna, of Ogdensburg, Thomas Ladouceur and his wife, Leah, of Ogdensburg, Edward Ladouceur of Heuvelton, and Peter Ladouceur and his wife, Tracy, of Ogdensburg; six grandchildren, Melissa Stull, Hayley Henry and her husband, Michael, Richard Thomas Ladouceur and his wife, Hailey, Rebecca Ladouceur, Jacob and Jarred Ladouceur; and ten great grandchildren, Devon, Dylan and Desiree Johnston, Kyle, Connor and Emma Henry and Mariah Stull, and Abigal, Hannah and Chloe Ladouceur.
She was predeceased by a son, Arthur Ladouceur, II, in 2007; her husband, Arthur Ladouceur, in 2012, and her brother, Edward Sholette.
Theresa was born on April 7, 1930 in Ogdensburg, the daughter of Edward and Mona Colburn Sholette. She graduated from St. Mary’s Academy in 1947. She married Arthur M. Ladouceur on July 4, 1950 at Notre Dame Church with Rev. Emile LaLonde officiating. She worked for a short period for New York Telephone and later for Triangle Shoe Store. Theresa worked fourteen years in food service at St. Lawrence Psychiatric Center retiring as a switchboard operator.
Theresa enjoyed knitting, spending time on the river and was very active with Notre Dame Choir. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
