Mrs. Dorothy E. Doyle, 90, passed away peacefully Saturday May 22, 2010 in the comfort of her home with the love and support of her family by her side.

Dorothy was the daughter of the late Norman and Lucy May (Burket) Moore. She was born on June 7, 1919 in Stirling, Ontario, Canada. She attended schools in Trenton, Ontario. On September 4, 1937 she married Frank D. D. Doyle in Bellville, Ontario. They shared a loving and devoted union until the time of his passing on October 31, 1968.

Dorothy was a dedicated hard worker. She was employed at The Boston Store in Massena from 1966 until the year of her retirement in 1974.

Dorothy is survived by her daughter, Kathleen Frederickson of Winthrop; two daughters-in-law, Paulette Reid of Norfolk, with whom Dorothy resided, and Linda Doyle of Helena; four grandchildren, Frank, Denise, Darlene and Desmond; four great-grandchildren, Courtney, Cody, Daisy, and Dylan; and several nieces and nephews.

Dorothy was predeceased by her son, Denis M. Doyle, who passed away on March 31, 1995; her granddaughter, Arlinda Doyle; her grandson, Darcy Doyle; and her siblings, Kenneth Moore, Eleda Howells, and Helena Kemp.

In their younger years, Frank and Dorothy enjoyed traveling around the world together with their family. They spent a few years in Europe as well as other countries. Dorothy found comfort in camping and the outdoors. An outing with Paulette to Ponderosa in Massena was something that Dorothy looked forward to always. She not only enjoyed Paulette and their special time, and good food, but the waitresses were extremely friendly and kind to Dorothy.

Those who knew and loved her would say that she had an enthusiastic sense of humor, even until the time of her passing. Family was the joy in Dorothy’s life; she loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren very much.
