MASSENA -- Dale A. Caza Sr., 70 of King St. passed away peacefully at his home Monday, Feb. 19, 2018, surrounded by his loving family.
Family and friends may be received on Friday Feb. 23, 2018 from 1-3 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. until the time of services at 7:00 p.m. at Phillips Memorial Home.
Dale was born on June 29, 1947 the son of Gerald and Evelyn (Holliday) Caza in Massena, NY. Dale graduated from Massena High School in 1965 and then joined the US Marine Corps and was honorably discharged in 1969. On September 10, 1966 he married Judy Clark at Sacred Heart Church. Mrs. Caza predeceased him on May 27, 2013. He was employed for over 40 years at Reynolds Metals as an Anode Tender, retiring in 2008. While working, he was active in the Union at Reynolds.
Dale enjoyed spending time outdoors, whether it be camping, boating, doing family gardening or just puttering in the yard, his most pleasurable moments were the time spent with his family and grandchildren. He was member of the American Legion in Massena.
Dale is survived by his four children, Darcy and husband Patrick Barney of Massena, Ann Mitchell of Wisconsin, Heather Patnode and companion Roland Pryce of Massena, Dale A. Jr. and Samanthe Caza of Raymondville; his beloved cat “Eddie”; and 12 grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Also surviving Dale is his sister, Holly Jones of TN; and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by a brother, Brian Caza in 1997.
