LISBON -- Memorial services for Clinton W. “Pete” Green Jr., age 82, will be held on Saturday (October 13, 2018) at 9:00 a.m. at the First Congregational Church of Lisbon with Pastor Andrea Mericle officiating. Burial will be held at the White Church Cemetery in Lisbon. Pete passed away on Tuesday evening (October 9, 2018) surrounded by his loving family.
Surviving is his wife Emily; a son Bruce (Renee) Green of Lisbon; a daughter Kathy (David) Paul of Schaghticoke, NY; grandchildren Courtney & Riley Green, Alyssa & Lauren Paul; a sister Pat (Roland) Geary of Lisbon and a brother-in-law Roger McBath of Florida.
A sister, Barbara McBath predeceased him.
Pete was born on November 16, 1935 in Lisbon, a son of the late Willard & Hortense (Harper) Green. He graduated from Lisbon High School, and later married Emily C. Curbeau on May 25, 1957 in Ogdensburg. He was owner & operator of Clinton W. Green, Inc., from 1955 to present. The business evolved over the years from a single axle dump truck and bucket loader, to a fleet of tractor trailers, dump trucks, bulldozers, front end loaders and backhoes which employed full and part-time employees.
He was an active member of the Waddington Masonic Lodge receiving his 50 year membership in 2010, a former Chairman of the Lisbon Republican Committee, a former Executive Committee Member of the St. Lawrence County Republican Party; a member of the Ogdensburg Odd Fellows and a member of the Operating Engineers Union from Syracuse. Pete enjoyed working, the time he spent at his camps and cherished the moments he spent with his family and four granddaughters.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the First Congregational Church of Lisbon or the Waddington Masonic Lodge.
