It is with great sadness that the family of Butch “Clarence” Leo LeDuc, age 61, of Ogdensburg, announces his passing on Sunday, September 16, 2018, at his home surrounded by family and friends.
Butch will be lovingly remembered by his partner of 27 years, Patricia DeRuyter and their children, April LeDuc, Robert Heffernan-LeDuc, Nicholas LeDuc, Hailey Hill and Chris (Jessie) Hill; five grandchildren; a sister, Justina LeDuc and her partner; a brother, Joseph LeDuc and several nieces and nephews. Butch is predeceased by his parents, Leo and Elaine LeDuc; a sister, Rosemary Kennedy and her husband, Judson Kennedy.
Butch, a lover of the St. Lawrence River and longtime resident of Ogdensburg, had friends from far and wide. Butch was known by all for his charismatic personality. If you were lucky enough to know this man, then you were already considered his family. Butch loved working on cars and boats and spent most of his free time on the water with family and friends in his boat “Riff Raft.”
At the end of his time, Butch was cared for by his partner, Patricia DeRuyter, and his good friends, Rodney Dimock and Elizabeth Marshall.
There will be no services at this time. A Celebration of Life will be held for his family and friends at a later date at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Frary Funeral Home, Ogdensburg.
