St. Lawrence County Reality Check youth recently rallied at the Ogdensburg Cinemas and a Heuvelton member blindfolded herself as part of anti-smoking efforts.
The Ogdensburg rally was designed to gain support for smoke-free youth-rated movies.
Researchers say exposure to on-screen smoking recruits half of all new U.S. smokers, or 390,000 teens a year. An estimated 120,000 of them will ultimately die from tobacco-caused cancers and heart and lung disease.
