RUSSELL – A woman being arrested in a domestic incident in Russell kicked a St. Lawrence County Sheriff’s deputy and sent the officer to the hospital with a leg injury.
Sarah P. Dunn, 24, Alexandria Bay, was being taken into custody by state police. Deputies were assisted at the scene on the Pyrites-Russell Road when she allegedly became combative and kicked the deputy.
Dunn was charged with second-degree assault, along with other charges from state police, and was arraigned in Canton Town Court and sent to the county jail on $1,000 cash bail.
The deputy was treated at Canton-Potsdam Hospital and released.
