POTSDAM -- A woman was charged with leaving an animal in her vehicle during extreme temperatures on Monday afternoon at Walmart, 7494 U.S. Highway 11, according to state police.
Beth A. Hewitt, 51, Medina, was cited for the above charge at noon, police said.
Highs on Monday were in the 90s with the heat index around 100 degrees.
She was cited and released on an appearance ticket, police said.
